ear Piercing ?!?

i want to get my left cartilage pierced because my old one filled in. I got my first one done at claires, but Claires no longer does ear piercing (something to do with being sued) and my mom doesn't feel comfortable bringing me to a tattoo/piercing parlor to get it done -__-. Does anybody know if any other jewelry stores do piercings?? thanks so much! if you say go to the mall, what mall stores would do it?

1. Try and convince your Mom to take you to a piercing studio. Much better than having it done with a gun - less pain and less problems afterwards

3. no, go to the mall. i got my ear pierced 5 times, i have two holes in each ear. and ive got all of them done at the mall. pagoda piercing.

5. there is probably another stand or store that does it in a mall by where you live. honestly though tattoo/piercing places are some of the most experienced places to go if you find a reputable one to go to. and they will use a needle not gun so it is safer and better for your ear. try and talk your mom into taking you to a tattoo parlor, it will be worth it.
6. Why would your mother not feel comfortable with taking you to a PROFESSIONAL parlor? But she was fine with taking you to Claire's...O.O You SHOULD go to a tattoo/piercing parlor, that is the only thing they do and are trained to do! People at claires are not all about piercings only getting more money. Going to a parlor you run less of a chance of getting an infection or messing up your ear. They use a sterile hollow needle and proper jewelry. Claire's uses a gun and that can shatter your cartilage, because of the applied pressure and the jewelry is shoved into your ear and it has no room. A needle takes a bit of skin out thus leaving room for the jewelry. Using a needle is also less painful and improves healing. Basically there is no jewelry store you should go to, talk your mom into getting it done at a parlor. If she still doesn't want to take her to one and let her talk to a piercer or wait till you are 18. :)

8. The best place to get it done is a tattoo that does peircing or a peircing studio. If your mom has the problem wait until your 18 to do it.
9. the previous answerer was right by saying the force of the gun shatters the cartlidge. goto your local tattoo shop. most do piercing. if you live in or near manchester than Afflecks is a good place to go.. "The Studio" on 3rd floor do it for £15 which is cheap compared to most other professional places. I got my tragus done ther 2day. ooh, and the "top of ur ear" is the helix. :D just google "Body piercing [your town name]" i.e. "body piercing rochdale" dont allow a shop to use a gun. always get it done with a needle. ... you may regret getting it gunned!
10. A tattoo parlor would definitely be best.. but if you have to.. go to the mall.. here in nj we have Piercing Pagoda.. and they will do it for relatively cheap.
