Gauge Ear

What is the smallest noticeable size for ear gauges?

I want to gauge my ears, but I don't want them to be very big. I want it to be noticeable enough for them to look like gauges, just not HUGE. I don't know what the size would be though, can someone give me some tips on ear gauging and the size I should go with? Thanks!

1. stretching! you want to stretch your ears! i know a lot of people think it's gauging, but if you go to the parlor to get your ear lobes stretched, they will laugh at you. and to actually answer your question, a 12 or 10, depending on the jewelry
2. 10 or 12 is like REALLLLLY little like not noticable. im at a 6 its like semi noitcable a good gaage would be like a 4 or MAYBE a 2 is you want them noticed.
3. start off at a 12ga and work ur way up one by one(with about two weeks for each to heal) after 12ga go to 10ga, then 8ga, etc. all the way up to about a 2ga or even 00ga. any bigger than that just looks ugly. and by the way its called stretching.
4. depending on the jewlery... anywhere from 12-6 are pretty noticeable and small however, when mine were a 14 they were pretty notceable because of the jewlery
